Udupi: Woman attempts to end life at Malpe beach, rescued by lifeguards

Udupi, Jun 26: A woman in her mid-thirties was rescued by lifeguards at Malpe beach on Sunday June 26 after she allegedly attempt to end her life by drowning in the sea.

The woman was spotted running into the water and heading out into deep sea. One of the lifeguards present at the spot rescued her immediately. He managed to calm her down and brought her back to the shore.

The woman had come along with her 15-year-old son. The lifeguards handed over the woman and herb son to Malpe police station.
