Mangaluru: Man pushes family into well, 3 children killed, wife survives

Mangaluru, June 21: In a tragic incident, a man pushed his wife and three kids into a well in Padmanur of Mulki  on Thursday, June 23 evening. All the children were killed. His wife fortunately survived.

The accused is Hithesh shettigar (42) from Padmanur. 

The deceased  children are Rashmitha (13), Uday(11)  and Dakshith (4) and Laxmi is the survivor.

 

The Mulki police has arrested the accused Hitesh Shettigar. and booked a case booked a case of murder.

    She survived, after the attempted murder by her own husband, where her 3 kids have died. Cant imagine her pain, misery and plight now. I truly feel for her. My prayers are with her.

    There are no two people who think a like and act a like. Investigation will tell us on later days but for now journalist please take initiation and do a study on different topics. Eg. How a middle class family struggls to meet both ends. Rich has money and poor is helped by public and government. After demonetisation and during covid bundh many people have lost jobs, business shutters are closed. A middle class family earns around average 20 thousand. With 3 kids can a family live !? You dont get veg less than 100rs, don't get chicken for less than 250 and busfare is increased.

    I have seen the photographs and videos of removing the dead bodies from the well. Its heart wrenching 💔😢.. This man sells flowers and tender coconuts on the roadside of padmanoor...Wife was not at home. When wife had gone to market, he called his children and said it seems someone is in the well. Children came running to see...small angels he put into the well and elder one pushed. When wife returned and asked about the children, he said the same story of the well. She ran towards the well, he tried to push her. By gods grace she got survived. This was his plan.....first pushing the children when wife was away. And when wife inquires, he thought easy for him to push her. Idiot....hadbo konso.....Then neighbors came to know. When she got survived, this fellow ran away. This happened in kinnigoly a place called padmanoor....

    so you were there when this happened? the udayavani news says that this fellow also jumped into the well after pushing wife but was rescued..so i feel it is mental trauma and not intention of just killing wife and kids...probably financial issues and he thought he cannot give good life to children and wife so pushed them..

    Actually people say when wife was about to jump neighbors rescued her. Why he will jump? If wife falls onky he would have jumped alongwith wife....When wife got rescued why he will jump? He made up story now after getting caught. .Everytime/everywhere is it possible to attend personally? Do i get dream well in advance that such and such place ...such incident will happen? How you got the news from udayavani, i too got the news from the people there and got videos and photographs......

    Mental health is the most neglected and often mocked issue in our society... Depression is that often insurmountable condition where one battles with self... Very sad to witness this ghastly incident... My heart goes out to the woman, man and the innocent kids who had no part in the whole thing... RIP to young souls...     I think his wife knows swimming. No human can console this woman.She never forget the pain for bringing up these kids. Very stupid father. Better to push him into the same well. I request all school authorities to teach swimming and karate to all students instead of this bullshit history of kings and politician which is of no use or help to defend. If these children knew swimming and karate when parents turn wild and violent at least they could have survived. And if they know the art of karate, while father pushing them he himself will fall.

    i feel pity on you and not the man who pushed his wife and children into well and also tried to commit suicide by jumping into the same well. you must know that no sane person will do that...read the whole story in today's local daily and you will come to know the reality...he was suffering from job loss and financial issues and that drove him to take this drastic action....psychological illness is different ball game..

    Person is not normal.When normal is would nt own children into well but try to save them if anyone does .Hard to believe.If anyone near him was there should have pushed him first and save children.Why he did´Pushing family to die?Any other girl was in line ?Or got married with lot of gold and money without anybodys knowledge´Nothing here is sure.Otherwise he wouldnt do this.Now push him in same well or capital punishment.May these childrens soul rest in peace.What mother now will feel now ?Sad heartfelt sympathy to her.

    Deliberate inhuman act. Whatever the reasons, he took a desperate, cruel Satanic action with an intention to kill the entire fly members. He is coward otherwise he too would have jumped in the well. He should be sent to gallows at the earliest.
