Mangaluru: Section 144 clamped for II PUC exams from April 22 to May 18

Mangaluru, April 21: The annual II PUC examinations will be held from April 22 to May 18. Police commissioner of Mangaluru, N Shashikumar has clamped restrictions under section 144 of CrPC to prevent any untoward incident during the days of the examinations.

The prohibition will be in force surrounding a radius of 200 meters from all the examination centres. Gatherings or wandering of five or more people other than candidates in the restricted area is banned during the period. Helping in malpractices in any form, distribution or sending of papers with answers written on them is banned.

Photocopy shops within a radius of 200 metres from the examination centres have been ordered to remain closed from half an hour before the examinations and during the examinations. Use of mobiles, phones, pagers and electronic communication gadgets are banned in the examination centres, stated the order from the police commissioner.
