Karnataka reports 41,400 fresh Covid cases, 52 deaths reported in a single day

Bengaluru, Jan 25: Karnataka on Tuesday, January 25 registered 41,400 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 3,50,742. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 19,105.

As many as 52 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Tuesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,666.

The state recorded 53,093 discharges from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total discharges to 32,16,070.

So far, Karnataka has seen 36,05,508 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 26.70% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.12 %.

As many as 9,38,76,870 people have received vaccination so far.

    Many people are wearing cloth mask and some wear mask at the chin..So my request to wear n95 or double surgical mask to avoid infection...More crowd in market, buses, and temple are the reason for the surge in covid cases.....Also govt did not deploy the police in public places to monitor covid norms..
