Mangaluru: Death of four persons - Noor Jahan had suggested divorce, arranged lawyer

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP/ANK)

Mangaluru, Dec 11: Relating to the suicide-murder of four members of a single family about which the head of the family had alleged religious conversion engineered by the employer of his wife as the root cause in a voice message, city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, addressed a press conference here on Saturday December 11. A suo motu case was registered relating to these deaths in Pandeshwar police station here.

The police have taken accused Noor Jahan into custody relating to the case. She has been accused of abetting the suicides of Nagesh and his family members. Nagesh along with family was staying in an apartment complex in which one of the flats was occupied by Noor Jahan in the past. Later, Nagesh's family had shifted their residence elsewhere.

Noor Jahan

Sometime back, Vijayalakshmi, wife of Nagesh, had stayed with Noor Jahan in her flat. Noor Jahan reportedly had advised Vijayalakshmi to seek divorce from her husband. She had also promised to find a suitable Muslim husband for her. She also had pressured her to convert her children into Islam.

On this issue, Nagesh had a fight with his wife. Nagesh later murdered Vijayalakshmi and committed suicide. He also had smothered his children, Swapna (8) and Samarth (4) to death.

The police found a photograph of Vijayalakshmi in the residence of Noor Jahan. However, so far they have not got any evidence to prove that Vijayalakshmi had got converted into Islam. Noor Jahan works as a broker and had arranged for the services of an advocate for Vijayalakshmi to seek divorce.

On the derogatory comments on chief of defence staff Gen Bipin Rawat’s death, police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “No arrest has been made yet in derogatory comments on social media about Gen Bipin Rawat’s death and on national security advisor Ajith Doval.

“A case has been filed at Pandeshwar police station under section 505(1a), 505 (2) and 505 (b).

“We found that the comments were posted from three accounts. We will probe whether the accounts are fake or original and from where it has originated,” he said.

On a moral policing incident at State Bank on Friday December 10, he said, “Two persons were detained and a suo moto case was filed after a video went viral where a boy and girl of different communities were questioned at a private bus stand.

“The girl hails from Udupi and the boy from Shivamogga. We have contacted the boy and girl.

“Two are detained and we will ascertain their role. As many as 5 or 6 may be involved in the case,” he said.

On an assault case which took place at Neermarga, the police commissioner said, “Four persons have been detained over the attack on Abdul Riyaz at Neermarga Padpu. A case under 307 has been filed. The exact reason for the attack is not known. The victim ion the assault is out of danger.

“We have received the information about the accused. We found a pair of slippers and accessories belonging to women at the spot,” he said.

I am wondering, who is the culprit here ? A husband who is cruel enough to kill his own children and wife, or a lady who was enticing a woman and her children to get rid of the alcoholic/abusive man ? Had he not been so bad, would she have gone to work with peoples' houses that too of other communities ?

This woman Noor Jahan is she capable of handling the family quarrels. She should have brought both husband and wife together. If the help was given to wife, with the purpose of separating both husband and wife, this is nothing but ruining the family.

It is so sad the four members of this family died because of fear of converting ?Why should one kill his children and wife and self suicide ?If he could only go some reliable person to ask suggestion ,or inform police of someone trying to convert his family, and divorce, they would help him.Noone can convert anyone against their will. Now someone else is arrested of suggesting ?Even a law against conversion will not help anyone from converting of their own will.

Thing is exaggirated definitely due to the preasure from right wing groups in order to politicize the issue, otherwise the statement of a man who killed his own loved ones and no more exists doesn't make sense.

This cock and bull story will not hold good in court of law. It is obvious. A person who can kill his family, i can only imagine how much he wud hav troubled his wife, for her to think of divorce/ conversion.

We are not afraid of anti-conversion law because we don't force or induce people to convert. We preach openly, not in sleeper cells. We are more concerned about misusing the law thru false allegations and by framing false cases.

If the above is true, then what are the majority community groups are doing. Is the man, who suicided with his family, why he has not seeking the help of Hindu groups. This shows there is lethargic attitude towards poor people. Every coin has 2 sides. Lack of concern for the fellow being is one of the root cause of poor alienating from the main stream.

According to hardcore radicalized fanatics a converted woman cannot stay with kafirs. Either her kafir husband should convert or get a divorce. Though the relation between the couple was not good, it is evident that divorce was arranged by a third party against their will which unfortunately turned tragic. It’s a manmade tragedy for the sake of religion which could or should have been avoided.

Why shouldn't that bill be Passed? It proves that illegal conversion is happening and that's the reason the community which you follow are running helter-skelter to stop the bill from being passed. Isn't it? If someone wants to convert let them convert as per the steps and time and guidelines laid by the government. What's wrong? Why bribe and convert and cheat public with Hindu names and why deprived the scheme alloted to SC/ST or OBC. Why don't the foreign religious groups who are funding to convert take care of the people converted and not steal the privilege alloted to uplift the Needy. So one leaves should leave for good and let that good happen to the society. Not to the one who is leaving by stealing. We don't appreciate the two foreign religious groups enjoy the benefits which is provided to Our Hindu Brother and Sister who are SC/ST and OBC who are still Hindus and deserve to be uplifted. Do you want to say the Dalits who have converted to which ever foreign religion deserves the scheme of SC/ST or of OBC? They converted to other foreign religion to hide their identity because these foreign religious groups always said you are insulted by Brahmins and in Hindu society and come to us and no one dare to touch you. Come to us we don't have any caste system isn't it? So the foreign religious groups should give them more benefits than Hindus tax and I shall appeal for 50 % taxation to all the foreign religious groups in India so the benefits they have stolen and have deprived off the real needy has to be given back and this should continue here after till every Hindu SC/ST and OBC are billionaire. I appeal to National Social and welfare and Human rights and President of India and Home ministry should take immediate action against these foreign religious groups and give us what they have stolen from Us and used against Us to weaken us. I request every Hindu to demand the same so our Hindu Brothers and Sisters get all the benefits which is stolen for ages.

Where was Vahini, dala's, sene's & sangha's.... they could have counseled Nagesh & Vijaya Laxmi family to lead a noble and peaceful life..., It is heart wrenching to see the loss of innocent lives..., It is none of anybody's business to separate Husband & wife.., the hardship may be any but..., one should have a patience to face the life situation.., of course all this are easier said than done.., everything needs money... human become slave to money (be it billionair or bikari the fact is the same)
