Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 26: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, November 26, reported 19 new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered 3 cases.
As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 22,27,185 samples have been tested so far, out of which 21,11,366 have turned out to be negative.
The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,819 out of which 122 are currently active.
As many as 11 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,694.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,07,80,170 as fine in 88,873 incidents of mask violation.
As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,62,427 samples have been tested so far.
A total of 3 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 76,856 out of which 49 are currently active.
A total of 11 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday. Coronavirus has claimed 476 lives in the district so far.
So far 9,21,066 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 5,53,979 have received the second dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
