Hebri: Sick man carried over shoulders for two kilometres due to lack of road

Daijiworld Media Network - Hebri (SP)

Hebri, Sep 14: A person from Kapoli in the taluk had become ill. A team led by Hebri gram panchayat vice president, Ganesh Kumar Jarvattu, carried the sick person over their shoulders for about two km and got him treated for the ailments.

Thimmappa Acharya, a resident of Kapoli, was suffering from illness. Because of his deteriorating condition, he was even unable to walk. His family members were in a predicament as they were unable to admit him into hospital because of absence of the road.

There is no road connectivity to Acharya's house. As the area surrounding his residence is owned by private persons and because of deemed forest rules, a road could not be laid to his house. Hebri gram panchayat vice president, Ganesh Kumar Jarvattu, who came to know about the problem, went to Kapoli with his team on Sunday. Acharya was physically carried on the shoulders for about two km after which he was taken by vehicle to the Hebri government hospital. He was provided initial treatment there after which Acharya was admitted into the government hospital at Karkala for advanced treatment.

BJP local leaders like Shekhar Thana, Vishwanath Hegde, Pratyaksha Hegde, Dinesh Poojary, Sachin Gulibettu, Abhishek Thana and Shreyas S formed the team of young people who helped Acharya to get himself treated.

Now no one come to the rescue of this people !! only for the personal gains they appear and posing like savior of the country and society. They should put forward apology to the people of that region or explain why the road has not been done yet
