Bantwal: Group of people disrupt work, damage public property at Mini Vidhan Saudha

Bantwal, Sep 2: A group of 50 to 60 people has allegedly entered Mini Vidhan Saudha situated at B C Road here without prior permission and without providing room for security, disrupting routine work and damaging public property. A case in this connection is registered at Bantwal town police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi S R.

The group, alleging misuse and one-sided decision with regard to Covid vaccinations and distribution of free kits to workers, entered the premises of Vidhan Saudha at about 11.30 am on August 31 shouting slogans, hindering routine work in the taluk office and other related offices instead of peaceful protests.

The people in the group have violated Covid protocol and its revised guidelines. A case under registration No. 103/2021 IPC sections 143, 147, 427, 269, 270, 149 and 5(1) Karnataka Epidemic Act is registered at Bantwal town police station in this connection.
