Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank holds 97th annual general meeting

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Leading private sector lender Karnataka Bank on Thursday September 2, held its 97th annual general meeting at its head office, Mangaluru through video conferencing (VC)/ Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM) in the backdrop of Covid-19 pandemic.

While addressing the shareholders of Karnataka Bank at its 97 th Annual General Meeting held through virtual platform, the MD; CEO of the bank Mahabaleshwara M S asserted that Karnataka Bank is now poised to emerge as the ‘Digital Bank of Future’. He said, "Powered by its IT driven wholistic transformation ‘KBL VIKAAS’, the bank is now preparing for the second phase under ‘KBL NxT’ concept so as to have end-to-end digital solutions for all its banking activities.

"Further, the bank is celebrating its centenary year during 2023-24 and lot of IT driven innovative and far reaching initiatives to mark the celebration are already lined up so as to lay a strong foundation for the second century of the bank. The bank has also declared a dividend of 18%” he said.

The 97 th AGM was held under the chairmanship of P Jayarama Bhat, chairman of the bank. All the directors of the bank, executives and shareholders participated through the virtual forum.
