Udupi: Outgoing DC Jagadeesha accorded grand farewell

Udupi, Aug 31: “It was possible to reach the high position of the joint secretary of the chief minister by the blessings of the people, said outgoing deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha. He was speaking in a farewell programme held for him at Atal Bihari auditorium, on Tuesday August 31.

“As necessary measures were taken, the deaths due to Coronavirus were less in the district. Proposals to develop tourism in the district are sent to the government. The district is ahead in revenue services and utilizing the funds of the MP and the MLA for development. It is second in the state in vaccinations,” he said.

“The people's representatives, government department officials and staff have cooperated during my work in the district. The files of the district will be disposed of soon,” he said.

DC G Jagadeesha, his wife Saumya, children Anushka and Abhigna, Udupi urban development authority president Raghavendra Kini, municipal council president Sumitra Nayak, coastal guard force SP Nikhil, Kundapur zone deputy conservator of forests Ashish Reddy, Kundapur sub divisional officer Raju were present.

Additional deputy commissioner Sadashiva Prabhu welcomed. Sports department assistant director Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty compered the programme.
