Kasargod: Rs 60 lac worth gold hidden in socks seized at Kannur airport

Kasargod, Aug 31: Customs officials have seized gold worth Rs 60 lac hidden and carried in socks at Kannur airport here.

The officials have arrested a Kasargod resident in this connection. The arrested was Mogral Puttur resident Mohammed Kamaruddin (31).

He had come by the flight that landed from Sharjah on Tuesday morning.

The customs officials who grew suspicious about Kamaruddin, conducted the search and found the gold.
