Mangaluru: Fisherman falls into sea due to heavy winds, rescued

Mangaluru, Aug 28: A team of fishermen rescued another fisherman who fell into sea from a fishing boat here on Saturday August 28.

The incident took place at Alivebagilu in Ullal.

Nawaz (35), the fisherman from Bengre, who fell into the sea, was found clinging onto a piece of thermocol.

A five-member team of Ocean Breeze boat with Prem Prakash D'Souza, Surya Prakash D'Souza , Anil Monterio of Uliya, Ullal, and Ajith and Rithesh from Bengre rescued Nawaz.

It is gathered, the traditional fishing boat had ventured into the sea for fishing. While returning back to the shore, due heavy wind, Nawaz slipped from the boat and fell into the sea.

Later, the team of fisherman of another boat, succeeded in rescuing Nawaz using a rope.
