Bantwal, Aug 24: A Jesuit priest, Fr Jerome Sequeira, a resident of Kallkuri from Siddakatte of Sangabettu village, who was stranded in strife-ridden Afghanistan, arrived at Delhi on Tuesday August 24.

Fr Jerome is working as the head in-charge of Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS), an international NGO in Kabul. Reportedly, when Fr Jerome was waiting for his friend Fr Robert Rodrigues from Thirthahalli, to depart to India, Taliban captured the airport in Afghanistan. Now along with Fr Robert, Fr Jerome has reached Delhi airport.

There is no clarity on whether Fr Jerome will travel to his native, neither his family members have confirmed it. It is said that Fr Jerome has been quarantined in Delhi according to government protocol.

Times are very bad in Afghanistan at present.Best is people who are there not to protest too much ,because it doesnt bring anything.Be peaceful ,Pray to God .remain at home .May be it might turn out good for people who are not their clans.for example Indians .Taking this chance, and seeing chance of minerals china is eyeing to enter Afghanistan. They know afghanistan is lacking certain things ,so it is come forwrd to to offer it to enter .China says we have no problem with Afghan?we too dont have but we have our people there how many we dont know.we want our people come home.lets pray for them.

We have to thank God for giving us back these priests :Now news are coming from Afghanistan ,that Taliban have given ultimatum as end of this month to all Amis or other countries to leave the land.Later what happens is not known.Already some are murdered we hear. They go each house to find who is working for which foreign organization.May God merci to people who cant escape out of their clutches. We have to pray for people who are got stuck there .Religion ,land or men or woman ,child.matters little.

Thank God for all your good people and our good Govt, who acted as your instruments in rescuing Fr. Jerome Sequeira and brought him back safely. Matthew 7:22-24 King James Version 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
