Mangaluru, Aug 14: District BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri on Saturday August 14 slammed MLA U T Khader for his statements on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) activists’ protests at former MLA Idinabba’s residence at Ullal and said that Ullal is not in Pakistan. He further appreciated VHP and BD’s agitation.
Addressing media, he said, “Khader’s statements on Love Jihad are confusing. We appreciate the VHP and Bajrang Dal activists for staging protest at former MLA Idinabba’s residence over Love Jihad issue and in connection the links with terrorist organisations. Khader questioned who are VHP and Bajrang Dal to question conversion in that house. We will raise voice against conversion, Love Jihad and terrorism activities in any corner of this country. Who are you to question about this?”
Justifying VHP and Bajrang Dal protests, he further said, “Since seven decades, Sangh Parivar is raising its voice against conversion, cattle slaughter, terrorism and Love Jihad. One person has been arrested from Idinabba’s family. There is Love Jihad issue in that house. There are documents to support the fact that Idinabba’s grand son and his wife joined the ISIS. Idinabba’s family’s links to terrorist organisation and Love Jihad case came to light during National Investigation Agency’s’ investigation.
“Khader also termed that ‘outsiders’ are coming to Ullal and protesting. I want to answer him that Ullal is not in Pakistan but in India. There were no outsiders in the protests but people from Ullal,” he said.
BJP leader Ravishankar Mijar, VHP leader Jagadish Shenava and others were present.
