Mangaluru: Marriage reception attendance exceeds permitted strength - Case filed

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 5: On Tuesday May 4 evening, a marriage reception had been organized at Kulai Shores Beach House, which falls within the jurisdiction of Surathkal police station.

The organizers had obtained prior permission from the city corporation for holding the programme. On receiving complaints from the local citizens that the crowd gathered for the function exceeded the number of guests permitted, Mangaluru sub-divisional officer, Madan Mohan, visited the spot along with city corporation officials.

It was observed that conditions prescribed in the permission had been violated. On the basis of complaint made by local city corporation officials, a case was registered against the organizers of the function and owners of the beach house at Surathkal police station.

Instead of booking Wedding functions case should be filed against the politicians who fail to follow rules and regulations in certain political functions etc

Earlier our celebrations were such that we completely ignored about the wastes - money, food, time etc in our celebrations. How hard it is now to reduce to 50 in place of 5000 guests! Our celebrations must be simple even in post Corona time., other wise we will have to face another danger in future.

But mostly this time Kumbh played a major role I. Carrying the virus to every nook and corner what you said is right when society is not disciplined nothing can help irrespective of parties but oxygen can help in the end stages some recover so e succumb

While people are dying what nataka at taxpayers expense by officials. ALL resources and MANPOWER must be put on covid duty and public service. There are more than enough people who need help and not a single official in ANY post doing ANYTHING.

All gatherings should be totally banned; even with 50 people nobody bothers to maintain protocol; and after 2 pegs hugging & cheek touching start, which is very deadly! Why the administration is not understanding & still allowing mass gatherings? Invitees should refrain from attending these celebrations by putting their life at great risk of catching the pestilence!
