Udupi, Apr 9: Udupi district Congress spokesperson Bipin Chandra Pal Nakre said, "The state BJP government is deliberately following delay tactics in resolving the protest that is undertaken by KSRTC employees. The possibility of privatization of state transport with the interference of the corporate lobby is seen very clearly behind this stand taken by the BJP government."

Bipin further said, "The statement given by the ruling BJP government that farmers in Delhi are protesting since many months against the conspiracy of the union government to bring the agricultural sector under corporates and the same kind of protest is being held in Karnataka too which is backed by opposition parties is condemnable as it is making baseless allegations indirectly on the Congress party.

"The protest is a constitutional right of the citizens under the democratic style of governance. The government should handle it in a constitutional manner. The state BJP government has totally failed in this matter. It is trying to bring the KSRTC protest under control by threatening to impose ESMA on the protesting employees of KSRTC."
