World Cup Replicas Stolen in South Africa

Johannesburg, Jun 30: Seven World Cup replica trophies and team garments were stolen from a FIFA venue here, South African police said.

Seven replicas of the FIFA trophy and several garments were stolen, and the case is being investigated, police chief Bheki Cele was quoted as saying by Prensa Latina.

Meanwhile, the residence of Police Vice Minister Fikile Mbalula was robbed and expensive electronic equipment was stolen. Mbalula is one of the top officials in charge of security for the tournament.
