Beltangady: Holy Redeemer School celebrates Teacher's Day

Beltangady, Sep 5: The birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President and vice president of India, teacher and scholar was celebrated as Teacher’s Day in Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Beltangady.

School convener Fr Joseph Alphonse Cardoza offered a floral tribute to the picture of Radhakrishnan. He said that teachers are equal to God as they mould the future of the children. He wished well to the teachers' community and gave his blessings.

School headmaster Fr Jason Monis congratulated the school's parent teacher association vice president and the members who celebrated the day out of love and gratitude to the school.

Vice president of parish pastoral council Aloysius Lobo was present. Former student Priyanka read a poem written for the teachers. Several games were held for the teachers.

Silvia compèred the programme. Mamatha Shetty welcomed the gathering and Sharmila rendered the vote of thanks.
