Karkala: NMAMIT receives AICTE fund to establish ‘Centre for Environment Monitoring’

Karkala, Jun 15: The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi has sanctioned Rs 11.11 lac to NMAMIT, NITTE for the establishment of ‘Centre for Environment Monitoring’ under the scheme of MODROB- Rural.

The Centre will help provide live projects to students and also technical data to industries. It is expected to set up the centre for two years. The first instalment of the grant (80%) has been received.

The principal, Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar said in his briefing that the whole programme will be coordinated by Dr Shashikanth Karinka, head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT.

This is the third grant received by NMAMIT from AICTE within one month.
