Mangaluru: St Agnes College conducts 'Awareness on Capital Market' webinar

Jun 8, 2020: The department of Commerce organised a webinar An Awareness on Capital Market for the under Graduate and Post Graduate students of various colleges on Jun 3, 2020.

Himanshu Srivastava, manager, Southern Region NSE, and M Jeyaprakash, trainer, NISM and NSE Academy, were the resource persons of the webinar.

The participants were given introduction on capital market, its different types of financial products and how it works. They explained three I’s in financial market those are Issuers, Investors and Intermediaries.

Participants were given detailed information on Demat account, what are the documents required to open Demat account and different assets where they can invest. Speaker also explained how important it is to invest rather than keeping money idle.

During the session participants were shown live session of NSE.

The webinar had 175 participants from various colleges who actively participated and clarified their doubts.

The session was conducted on Google meet. Nimitha K, HOD of Commerce, welcomed the speakers and the participants.

Mokshitha S, assistant professor, department of commerce, delivered the vote of thanks.
