Indian Cricket Team Pay Homage to Mumbai Attack Victims

Kanpur, Nov 26 (IANS) The Indian cricket team paid its respect to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks by observing a minute's silence before the start of the third day's play of the second Test against Sri Lanka at Green Park stadium here Thursday.

Last year, the England team left the Indian shores midway through their One-day series after the terror attack. The last two ODIs of the seven-match series were cancelled.

England, however, returned the following month to play the Test series. The second Test match of the series was scheduled in Mumbai, but was rescheduled to Chennai.

The inaugural Twenty20 Champions League was also postponed due to the terror attack.
