Police-lawyers clash at Tis Hazari, advocate injured, police car set on fire


New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS): There was arson, blaze and even bullets were fired when lawyers clashed with police at Delhi's Tis Hazari court premises on Saturday, that left one advocate injured with a bullet injury to his chest.

The injured was rushed to St. Stephen's hospital.

According to sources, the scuffle broke out over a parking issue and resulted in arson, with some vehicles being set on fire.

The lawyers have locked themselves inside the court premises, preventing police and mediapersons from entering. Taking the tense situation into account, police have locked several gates leading into the court complex.

    There is no difference between the act of terror and lawyers of Delhi High court.

    For various reasons, Delhi High court lawyers are one of the worst in behavior. In the JNU case, these are the same lawyer beat the student leader in the court premises in front of the judge.

    If the law has ever taken its course, today public property would have not burnt down.

    Delhi Police comes under the Centers Ministry of Home affairs. Will the government let go the unruly mob of lawyers burning the national property?
