Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School cricket team clinches KSCA inter-school tournament title

Mangaluru, Aug 31: The cricket team of Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, Mangaluru, delivered an impressive performance at the KSCA inter-school cricket tournament, emerging as champions and lifting both the Champions Trophy and the prestigious Rolling Trophy in the finals held on August 26. Their outstanding skill, determination and exemplary team spirit brought immense pride to the school and their families.

The inter-school tournament commenced on August 8, with the league stage featuring schools from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Following a series of competitive league matches, the top teams from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi advanced to the next stage, competing for a place in the final.

Adding to the team’s achievement, Moksh Talwar of Grade X C was adjudged the best bowler of the series for his remarkable bowling performance throughout the tournament.

The school management, principal, staff and students congratulated the team on this outstanding achievement and commended the players for their dedication, discipline and exceptional teamwork.

The school also expressed its sincere appreciation to the coaches, PETs, parents and supporters for their constant encouragement, guidance and invaluable support, and conveyed its gratitude to the KSCA officials for organising the tournament, which provided the young cricketers with a valuable platform to showcase their talent.
