Definitely, ISRO chief on Vikram lander's second landing

New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS): Determined to get Vikram lander on moons south pole, the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) chief, Kailasavadivoo Sivan on Saturday weighed in on the second landing attempt of Vikram lander on Moons south pole, after the first could not find success.

Replying to media's query if that if the ISRO would attempt another landing on Moon's south pole, Sivan replied, "Definitely".

"We want to demonstrate the technology for Vikram lander landing, We are working on plan of action how to go ahead for Vikram Lander landing," the ISRO Chief informed media, who was in national capital to attend IIT-Delhi 50th convocation ceremony.

What was supposed to be India's first soft landing on the Moon, Chandrayaan-2 ended in failure when the robotic Vikram lander seemingly crashed into the lunar surface.

If it had been successful, India would have become the fourth country to land a spacecraft intact on the Moon.

Vikram was to land on the moon and deploy the six-wheeled rover Pragyaan.

Pragyaan, India's first rover on the Moon, would have explored the lunar surface for one lunar day (around 14 Earth days).

Only couple of days before the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) chief, Kailasavadivoo Sivan claiming that the operation center is receiving the signals from Chandryana 2 satellite.
Chandrayaan-2 mission cost India Rs 978 crore. When most of the nation's public sector companies like BSNL, MTNL, HAL and even CRPF don't get paid their salaries and allowances, these explorations can't be sustained when the central government is completely relying on Reserve Bank of India 'piggy bank'.
Whatever may be the cause of the fatal disaster of the exploration, ISRO chief has indirectly acknowledged that 'Vikram' is gone with 'Betal'.
Failures are way for success. Technology is a necessity. But don't allow the shadow of bad 'Omen' on ISRO again or else you will cry for the whole life.

    People,

Failure in these type of operations is about 40% even in US missions....We should learn from our mistakes and move forward....

My suggestion...don't announce it in advance like you did last time ...announce after successful moon landing like China does...

'Failure is stepping stone of Success'...Good luck next time...

    Regards,

    ...Tak...Takk...

First think of clean politics and politicians , roads , infrastructure, healthcare, , security for women and children before embarking on these ambitious plans where millions of the tax payers money is wasted . There are more important issues to be looked into before these moon missions !!!!
