Saina Aims to Break into the Top 5 by Year End

Hyderabad, Jun 2: Expressing happiness over achieving seventh position in the current world rankings, ace badminton player Saina Nehwal on Monday said she aims to break into the top five by the end of the year.

"This ranking is really amazing. I could not believe that I am in 7th position so fast. But my main aim is to be in the top five by the end of the year. I just want to work even more harder and win matches consistently," she told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

"I am fully fit and eager to give my best for the coming tournaments," she said.

The ace player would play at the superseries events in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia during June.

Saina was presented the Most Promising Player of the World award of the Badminton World Federation here by V K Verma, president of Badminton Association of India.
