Mangalore, May 31: Kannada cine actress Tara and Shobha Karandlaje, state minister for Panchayat Raj and rural development, released two new products from Campco on Saturday May 30, at the meeting hall of Campco Ltd. in the city.

These products are useful in preparing chocolates and the other food items at home. They have been made of cocoa and are named ‘Milk Choko Mass’ and ‘Dark Choko Mass’.

Releasing ‘Milk Choko Mass’, Shobha Karandlaje said, “Campco is serving the farmers of this region. When the prices of arecanut fell and the farmers lost faith in agriculture, Campco encouraged them. The introduction of these cocoa products will create a demand for agricultural products.”

The minister also wished that Campco would help rubber growers in this region just as it is involved in protecting the interests of arecanut and cocoa growers.

Actress Tara, in her inimitable style, appreciated the launch of the chocolate product in an interactive programme with the women and expressed her affection for the city and its cuisine.

Rajani Dugganna, deputy mayor, Mangalore City Corporation, Bharathi Shetty, MLC, and Mallika Prasad, Puttur MLA, also spoke.
