Mangalore: FMMC Alumni Association Meet Organized

Mangalore, Mar 13: The first Alumni Association meet was organized at Father Muller Medical College Hospital here on Wednesday March 12.

Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator, Father Muller Medical College on the eve of Fr Augutus Muller’s 167th birthday anniversary gave an inspiring message of strengthening the alumni and carrying on the work and mission of Fr Augustus Muller– to Heal and Comfort.

Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions pointed out the importance of the alumni and motivated the gathering to carry on the Muller motto. Dr Denzil Pinto, the newly-appointed president of the FMMC Alumni Association shared his thoughts with the alumni on the future prospects and aspirations of the Association.

Dr Nandakishore, president of the Association welcomed the gathering. He shared his views on the expected plans of having a ‘Book Bank’ and ‘Scholarships’ to help those students in need. Dr B Sanjeev Rai, dean, FMMC expressed himself saying that the logo of the Association stood for Always and Anywhere– be associated with the Alumni. He also declared that March 12 of every year would be the official Alumni Association meet. Plans of reserving 10-20% of seats of the Alumni for future studies in the institution were also underscored.

Dr. Anil Shetty, secretary, FMMC Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks.

On this occasion Undergraduate representative Dr Anusha V D’Souza, post-graduate representative Dr Sukuamar, BPT representative Richhpal and MLT representative Anthony were also present.
