As mother, stress on immunization for child's healthy future: Madhuri

Mumbai, Sep 9 (IANS): After lending support to 'Set Beautiful Free', Vivek Oberoi and Amruta Fadnavis' initiative for a rehabilitation centre for girl children born to sex workers, Madhuri Dixit Nene pitched for awareness of routine immunization as a UNICEF celebrity advocate at the Radio4child awards.

The awards by the Radio Operators of India (ROI) honours radio jockeys for sensitizing public through creative messages on routine immunisation.

Looking elegant in a Payal Singhal saree, Madhuri thanked to RJs and radio stations for spreading the message.

"I appeal to RJs and Radio stations to give more space to critical issue of routine immunisation. Each child should get proper nutrition, upbringing, education and health care. I am honoured to be associated with cause of routine immunization to ensure healthy future for children," she said at the function on Monday.

Asked if she was scared of injections, Madhuri, referring to her husband, said: "My husband is a doctor and I am not scared of injections."

She also pointed out that as the mother of two sons, Arin and Raayan, she is very concerned about their health.

"As a mother, I am concerned about my children's health. And I request everybody should take this routine immunization very seriously."

Yes as a mother immunizing should take precedence to prevent viral diseases!
But as a mother one should also know the pros & cons of immunization as well.
Vaccines of modern day contain mercury as well as aluminium as base which is harmful for the brains of kids.
MMR vaccination has turned most(those whose onset of autism started only after this vaccination) of present day kids as "Autistic" cannot be written off as one in a million chance as well.
Commercial interest of Pharma Companies in promoting their un-necessary vaccines like Hepatitis & Tuberculosis within 24 hours of birth has to be avoided as their unformed immune systems won't be able to tolerate(cope with) the same.
Influenza vaccination is one more scam as it fails every time with only a few strains they have covered while thousands lurk without any protection.
New research has found that, when a baby gets any infection it gets passed on to mothers when they nurse their babies & their immune system produces antibodies which are passed on to the babies through milk giving them full protection as well.
Feed your kids your own milk, should be promoted instead of this Pharma friendly Promo.

I completely agree with the comment. its very true that just to prevent mild and self curable diseases and others which are very rare we are injecting our children with vaccines containing dangerous substances and risking their health in the near future. There is no awareness regarding this among common man whereas in the west there is a big cry by renowned doctors n researchers itself emphasizing on the bad effects of immunizations.. wake up people....
