Mangaluru, Sep 4: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by Holy Family Higher Primary English Medium School and St Joseph’s Higher Primary Kannada Medium School, Meramajal, as a heartfelt tribute to the teachers who dedicate themselves to nurturing, guiding and inspiring young minds.
The celebration was graced by the chief guest, Fr Rahul Dexter D’Souza, residential priest of Holy Family Church, Omzoor. The distinguished gathering included Fr William Menezes, joint secretary; Arthur D’Souza, parish parishad vice president; Daphney Lewis, secretary; Elroy Saldanha, 19 Ayoga coordinator; Arun Kumar, ASI; and Dinesh, PTA president.
The headmistresses, Sr Sabina Lobo of Holy Family Higher Primary English Medium School and Sr Vinitha D’Souza of St Joseph’s Higher Primary Kannada Medium School, were present along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, Management Committee members, PTA representatives and students.
The celebration came alive with a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students of both schools. Through a delightful array of colourful performances, the students displayed their talents while expressing their love, respect and gratitude towards their teachers. Their enthusiastic participation added warmth, cheer and excitement to the occasion.
The programme was a fitting tribute to the teachers whose unwavering dedication, patience and guidance play a vital role in shaping the character and future of every child. It was also a beautiful reminder that behind every successful learner stands a teacher who inspires, encourages and believes.
The presence and encouragement of the dignitaries, management committee members, PTA representatives, staff and students added great significance to the celebration. The occasion provided the school community with a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of teachers and celebrate their noble vocation.
