Udupi, June 7: Manipal University will start job-oriented courses with specially planned curriculum in order to meet the industrial demands.

BBM in e-banking and finance, a course for 6 semesters, will meet the needs of the public sector banking, foreign and new generation banks, said deputy registrar (admissions) Udaya Shankar in a press release.

Post-graduate courses like MSc (biostatics) and MSc (regenerative medicine) to cater to the needs of healthcare, biotechnology and pharmacy industries of India as well as those abroad will also be introduced.

The university is also considering a proposal of excluding tuition fees for women and physically handicapped whose annual income is very low, the release stated.
