Puttur, Jun 6: Heavy rain which showered here on Tuesday night along with heavy storm has affected in many places of the town.

A large has been uprooted on the building of ‘Sudhir Enterprises’, a cement products manufacturing company at Haradi. Hence, huge loss has been occurred.

The shed has been completely destroyed after the fall of the tree. Machines, doors and window trace marts have been damaged to a large extent. Sources said that the loss could be to the extent of Rs 20 lac.

In another incident at Puttur town, tiles have flown off the roof of Shri Mahalingeshwar temple. An electricity pole has rolled over at police line here and it has damaged two houses.

Near Kombettu Junior College road here, a coconut tree has fallen flat which has resulted in disrupting the electricity supply. Revenue officers have initiated a survey to assess the loss caused by storm and shower here.
