Los Angeles, March 19 (IANS): Actor Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander, who were co-stars on Showtime's hit show "Nurse Jackie", are now engaged to be married.
They were first romantically linked in 2012.
Facinelli proposed to his actress girlfriend at the top of the Empire State Building in New York City on March 16, reports people.com.
Representatives for both stars have confirmed their engagement, but provided no further details on the proposal.
Neither Facinelli nor Alexander has addressed the engagement.
The 31-year-old actress tweeted: "Top of the world with my love @peterfacinelli @empirestatebldg #Love #ES," with a link to the photograph showing her and Peter kissing.
She posted the same image on her Instagram with the same message.
Peter was previously married to actress Jennie Garth, with whom he has three daughters.
