Paris, Oct 22 (IANS): World's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic of Serbia announced Wednesday that his wife Jelena had given birth to a boy named Stefan.
"We are delighted to announce that Jelena Djokovic gave birth to a wonderful, healthy and a lovely boy, called Stefan. The birth went in the best possible manner. The baby and the mother feel well," said an announcement on Djokovic's website, reports Xinhua.
Jelena delivered the baby Tuesday night in Monte Carlo, where the couple live.
Stefan is the couple's first child and 27-year-old Djokovic is planning to spend several days with his wife and the baby before travelling to Paris to defend his title in next week's final Masters Series event of the year.
