Star Sports to telecast IPTL


Mumbai, Oct 16 (IANS): Leading broadcaster Star Sports Thursday acquired the rights to telecast the franchise-based International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

The IPTL will be played in indoor stadiums across four Asian countries -- the Philippines, Singapore, India and the United Arab Emirates -- from Nov 28 to Dec 13. The India leg is scheduled to be held in New Delhi Dec 6-8.

The matches will be telecast live on Star Sports, Star Sports HD and starsports.com.

“This is the first time India will play host to some of the biggest names in tennis and we at Star Sports are extremely proud to be associated with this league,” said Star India - Sports president Nitin Kukreja.
