Gilchrist tames Shah for billiards title


Bangalore, Aug 11 (IANS): Singapore-based English veteran Peter Gilchrist, warming up for the ensuing World Billiards team championship, defeated India’s Rupesh Shah 688-289 in the final of the Glasgow Open.

Gilchrist had breaks of 63, 68, 52, 180, 58, 106 and 82 while Shah responded with 133 and 62 Saturday, according to a Billiards and Snooker Federation of India press release here Monday.
