India 33/1 in second innings at tea


Manchester, Aug 9 (IANS): India were struggling at 33 for one in the second innings at tea, trailing England by 182 runs, on the third day of the fourth cricket Test at Old Trafford here Saturday.

Gautam Gambhir was batting on 12 and Cheteshwar Pujara three at the break. Murali Vijay (18) was the only wicket to fall.

Earlier, England were all out for 367 in the first innings and took a lead of 215 runs.

Joe Root was the top scorer with 77 and Jos Buttler made 70. Stuart Broad was retired hurt for 12 after suffering a massive blow on his nose from Varun Aaron's short-pitched delivery.
