Jammu, Jul 20: Indo-Pak Kabaddi series, which was scheduled to commence on Thursday in Jalandhar, has been cancelled indefinitely in the wake of last week's Mumbai bomb blasts.

Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, which was to host the second tie of the five-match series, said he got the communication to this effect by the Indian Amateur Kabaddi Association.

"The Indo-Pak Amateur Kabaddi series, scheduled to commence in Jalandhar on July 20, has been cancelled due to tension between the two countries over Mumbai blasts," Gupta told PTI.

"The series has been cancelled in view of the clearance not being given by the Government of India in the aftermath of Mumbai blasts," he said.

The third match was to be played at Delhi, fourth at Haryana and the fifth and last at Jaipur.
