Daijiworld Media Network

Cape Town, Nov 22: Pakistan have now lost their last six International matches against South Africa. They lost the last three ODIs in the UAE and the three T20Is. Will they be able to change this stat and win a game for a change? Hello and welcome to the second T20I at Cape Town. South Africa will be attempting to go for the kill as they are likely bring back AB de Villiers for this match in place of Davids. Pakistan on the other hand have had injury worries. They only have 13 players touring with them and have very limited options.

Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat.

Preview

South Africa had a stroke of luck in the first T20I when rain gave them a 4-run victory. Coming into the 2nd and final T20I without a possibility of losing the series is bound to be encouraging for the hosts. They will be playing with a lot more freedom when compared to Pakistan, who will have their task cut out to try and square the series.

South Africa:

After resting AB de Villiers in the previous match, South Africa are likely to welcome back their ODI captain for the last T20I. Henry Davids has been released from the squad already and that paves the way for a straight swap. Quinton de Kock has been in good form and is slowly finding his feet in the senior side. This T20I presents him with yet another opportunity to cement his place. Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers and JP Duminy make up one of the most dangerous batting units in the world. There is a right mix of experience and explosiveness to the batting that will induce fear in the opposition ranks.

The bowling, heavy on pace, is just right for the conditions and the Cape Town wicket is likely to have a lot of juice for Steyn and Co to exploit.

Pakistan:

Nothing seems to be going right for Pakistan in recent times. Their batting has been a cause of concern for a long time but it seemed to be coming together in the first T20I until rain intervened. There is added pressure on Hafeez's men to do all the running and try to equalise the series. They are likely to bring back Saeed Ajmal after resting him for the first match. That is going to be a tremendous boost to their bowling. Mohammad Hafeez himself was in fine form with the ball and the bowling as a whole poses little worries for Pakistan. The batting, on the other hand, has left a lot to be desired. They lack a particularly solid batsman around whom the batting can revolve. Hafeez and Umar Akmal will have to start shouldering that responsibility and allow the other youngsters to bat around them. Each of Ahmad Shahzad, Nasir Jamshed and Shoaib Maqsood have displayed a lot of talent previously but will be needed to do it once again when the chips are down.

Stats:

* South Africa have won 6 out of the 11 T20Is they've played against Pakistan.

* Pakistan have not lost a T20I match at Cape Town
