Mumbai, Mar 29: The gallery of the second floor in an old five-storied building in Andheri East collapsed, killing one person and injuring at least six persons.
The injured have been admitted to a local hospital.
The building called Tej Mahan apartments has a gas distribution agency operating in the basement. The staff of this firm are said to have ensured full safety of the people and property after the collapse, since, as the residents alleged, the police from the nearby station did not take immediate action.
