Bangalore, Mar 5: Anthony Victor Rego, an eminent entrepreneur, community leader from the city and founder of Brilliant Printers - widely known as A V Rego, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, March 5 in a private hospital here.

He had been admitted to the hospital on Saturday, after being taken ill. He was active until Saturday and attended office in the morning.

He is survived by wife and three sons.

He was honoured with the Rachana Entrepreneur Award-2006 only last Sunday in Mangalore. He could not be present in person in Mangalore owing to a family event in Bangalore, and hence his son Sunil had received it.

Funeral cortege leaves residence 'Irene Cottage' at Mattikere, Bangalore for Christ the King Church, Yeshwantpur, (near Mysore Lamps, Malleswaram0, Bangalore, at 3-00 pm on Monday, March 6.
