  • Saturday night shower!

Mangalore, Mar 5: The weather in the city and around has been very cool in the nights over the past two months. Days have been slightly warm.

Saturday was quite humid and partly warm. By evening dark clouds were hovering around the heart of the city. But no one expected any off-season shower.

Hampankatta and Kodialbail areas experienced quite moderate showers by night, while reports from other parts mentioned heavy rain. Surprisingly, many other parts of the city remained dry.

Regional

Heavy rains were reported from Kalmadka, Sonangeri and Bellare in Sullia taluk. In the same taluk, thunder, lightning and heavy rains were experienced around Subrahmanya.

Elsewhere in the undivided DK district, Edu-Nooralubettu area was blessed with showers only within a radius of about 2 kms.
