Karkala, Mar 3: A mason who was involved in the construction work of a building behind Pervaje school died instantaneously upon  coming in touch with a livewire on Thursday March 2 afternoon.

Chandrahas Nayak (35), a resident of Tellar in Durga gram panchayat limits, was on the top of a building under construction at Pervaje.  As he was standing on the top, he lost his balance and happened to touch live high-tension wire, which passes by the building.

Receiving a shock, he fell on the slab of the building.  He was immediately taken to the hospital.  However, he died on the way.

Chandrahas' brother Shubhakar Nayak has filed a complaint in the Karkala town police station in this regard.
