Emirates press release / Daijiworld News Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Mar 3: Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, has announced its plans to start services from here from October 29 with a schedule of eight flights a week.

An Emirates release here on Thursday said it would offer a total weekly capacity of 2,108 seats and over 120 tonnes of cargo in each direction.

The Dubai-based international airline would operate some of the world's most technologically advanced aircraft - the modern Airbus A330-200 and the larger capacity Boeing 777-200 - in a three class configuration, designed to offer high standards of comfort, luxury and style.

Bangalore would be Emirates' fifth destination in South India, the others being Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram.

It would also be the 86th destination on Emirates' rapidly expanding network, which included the start of services to nine new destinations this year, the release said.
