Mangalore, Mar 2: A case has been registered against a couple from Dongerkeri here, who mortgaged a certain land to procure loan from a bank, and with forged documents again mortgaged the same land with other banks to avail loan.
The couple B M Ravindra (37) and his wife Shaila (31), mortgaged the land with Krishnananda Bank and obtained loan to the extent of Rs 12.75 lac. Later, generating forged documents, mortgaged the same land with other banks and cheated the Krishnananda Bank.
The Krishnananda Bank authorities have filed a case in the Bunder police station in this regard.
