Bangalore, Mar 1: British Airways on Tuesday February 28, announced an additional flight out of the city. Effective from May 4, the number of flights from the city to London Heathrow will be increased from five to six a week.

The new flight (BA118) will take off from the city at 5:45 am IST on Thursday and arrive at London Heathrow Airport at 11:50 am (UK time).

British Airways also rationalized its flight frequencies to and from Chennai. Beginning May 4, British Airways will operate five times a week from Chennai to London.

"British Airways had recently launched the route connecting Bangalore with London-Heathrow.

The response on the new route has led it to advance its plans and add more frequencies out of the city. The increase of frequencies will enhance convenience, giving passengers more options to choose from," said Alok Sawhney, British Airways Commercial Manager, India.
