Udupi, Sep 13: An electric scooter suddenly caught fire while on the move in Udupi, leaving the rider shaken but unhurt.
The incident occurred when the rider was travelling on the scooter and flames suddenly erupted. Alarmed, he stopped the scooter in the middle of the road and immediately ran away from the vehicle, escaping without any injury.
Later, local residents rushed to the spot and poured water over the scooter, managing to douse the flames.
The exact reason for the scooter catching fire is not yet known.
