Mangaluru, Sep 8: St Agnes CBSE School transformed into a hub of joy, gratitude, and deep reverence as students and parents united to honour the dedicated educators who ignite curiosity and shape young minds.
The festivities kicked off with an electrifying performance by the school band, whose rhythmic cadence set an exuberant tone and created a festive guard of honour as teachers were ceremoniously escorted to the hall and every faculty member was presented with an individual handmade flower as a profound symbol of gratitude.









































































The stage programme commenced with a serene prayer service, invoking divine blessings upon the faculty for their unwavering commitment. Following the devotions, head girl Nishka Bangera warmly welcomed the gathering with an articulate address.
In a touching ceremony of appreciation, principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC and Star of the Day teacher Radhika were presented potted plants, symbolizing the flourishing growth they nurture within the school. Vice principal Sr Meena Fernandes AC kindergarten coordinator Sr Letitia AC, and Sr Lavi Shanthi AC were presented with beautiful flowers.
Grade 4 students then mesmerized the audience with a fluid welcome dance, seamlessly followed by an insightful student presentation detailing the legacy of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the historical importance of Teachers' Day. Grade 10 presented a thought-provoking theatrical skit on the transformative power of mentorship, while a poignant dance drama by grade 4 beautifully captured the emotional bond between teachers and students.
The indoor segment culminated in a high-octane dance medley by grade 10 that injected dynamic energy into the auditorium. The morning proceedings were seamlessly compered by Haleema and Shikha of grade 10, who guided the audience through the events with poise and enthusiasm.
The spotlight shone on teacher Radhika as she was formally felicitated as the Star of the Day. In her inspiring address, Tr Radhika reminded students that character, discipline, and hard work are the ultimate Gurudakshina, encouraging them to pursue true knowledge over marks, remain rooted, and use their education for societal progress.
The celebrations then transitioned outdoors as the school cabinet entertained the faculty with a synchronized choreography performance and a wishing song in the open courtyard. The student leaders conducted spirited spot games, where winning teachers received prizes directly from principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC. Additionally, faculty members who secured second runner-up in the quiz and second place in the folk-dance competition at the Guruvandana Programme 2026 were proudly honoured by the principal. Expressing their deep gratitude, the school cabinet members presented a thoughtful gift to the principal and the faculty as a token of their affection and appreciation.
The principal also expressed her love and appreciation for the staff by presenting each member with a thoughtful gift as a token of gratitude for their dedication and service. Teacher Divya Nayak then delivered an eloquent vote of thanks, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the student body, cabinet, and administration.
Extending the festivities, the Parent-Teacher Executive Committee (PTEC) organized an exclusive programme presided over by principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC, alongside chief guest Sr Dr Vinora and guest of honour Namritha. The PTEC vice president welcomed the dignitaries and the teachers.
Chief guest Sr Dr Vinora reminded us that Teachers’ Day is a profound moment to honour the dedication, patience, and tireless empathy of our educators. More than instructors, teachers build the foundation that empowers students to become compassionate, responsible leaders of tomorrow. Acknowledging PTEC members and parents, she stressed that education thrives when school and home work together, celebrating their partnership with teachers, management, and students in shaping young minds.
The PTEC members expressed their deep appreciation through a vibrant lineup of cultural performances, interactive games, and hilarious entertainment segments. As a mark of respect and love, the PTEC members presented special gifts to the teachers and management.
Principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC delivered a heartfelt message praising the teachers for their wholehearted cooperation, sacrifice, and dedication. She extended special gratitude to vice president Pradeep Misquith and the PTA members for organizing such a lively celebration. Highlighting that the PTA stands steadfastly by the institution through both triumphs and challenges, she noted how their constant support lightens her administrative responsibilities. Finally, Evet Castelino, the PTEC associate secretary, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, teachers, and PTEC members for making the celebration a resounding success.
