London, Sep 4: Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has bid an emotional farewell to the club after completing his move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal following a seven-year spell in North London.

Martinelli joined Arsenal as an 18-year-old and went on to establish himself as an important part of the squad. Following his departure, the Brazilian forward penned an emotional message thanking the club and its supporters for standing by him throughout his journey.

“The day has come, and honestly, I still don’t feel ready to write a goodbye, but I’ll try,” Martinelli wrote in a post on Instagram.

Reflecting on his time at Arsenal, he said he had found a family at the club and felt like an “adopted Hale End boy”.

“I’ve spent seven years at this club. I feel like an adopted Hale End boy, you could say. I found a family that took care of me and watched me grow throughout all these years,” he said.

Martinelli also thanked the fans for making him feel at home and said he always tried to give his best whenever he wore the Arsenal shirt.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have made a strong start to the 2026-27 Premier League season, winning both of their opening matches to collect six points and sit second in the standings.

The defending champions will face a major test in their next outing when they take on Chelsea in a London derby at the Emirates Stadium. The clash is expected to provide an early indication of Arsenal’s form as they look to defend their Premier League title.
