Mangaluru, Oct 16: Director Rakshith Ganiga, who impressed audiences with the Tulu film ‘Kattemar’ earlier this year, has announced his next film. The yet-to-be-titled project is currently in the pre-production stage.

‘Kattemar’, produced under the Astra Production banner, was directed by Rakshith Ganiga and Sachin Katla. Rakshith Ganiga has now announced his new film.

A poster has been released under the tentative title ‘Project Number 2’. The poster shows a photograph of a deceased person hanging on a wall with a garland around it. An urn containing ashes is placed on a table below the photograph. The tagline reads, “Birth..? Death.” The caption accompanying the poster says, “If we die but our dreams live on, a heartfelt tribute to those dreams.”

The film is currently in the writing stage, and the team is planning to begin shooting around December. So far, only Rakshith Ganiga has been announced as the director, and no information has been released about the other members of the film crew.

With ‘Kattemar’, a well-received film that raised expectations among Tulu audiences, Rakshith Ganiga has inspired interest in his next project. However, audiences will have to wait until next year to see his new film.
