Udupi: SMES Kannarpady celebrates ‘Muddu Krishna’ with devotion and joy

Udupi, Sep 3: St Mary’s English Medium School (SMES), Kannarpady, celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with devotion and enthusiasm, with nearly 195 children taking part in the festivities.

As part of the celebrations, the children participated in a creative pot-decoration activity a day before the main event. They beautifully decorated pots using various techniques, including paper sticking, finger printing, brush painting and bud painting.

The Janmashtami celebrations were held with great enthusiasm. The traditional Dahi Handi (pot-breaking) activity was organised for each class, adding to the festive spirit.

The kindergarten teachers, dressed as Yashodas, added colour and charm to the celebrations. The little Krishnas and Radhas, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, captivated the gathering with graceful dance performances to melodious Krishna songs.

The programme was witnessed by principal Fr Vijay Joyson D’Souza and vice principal Rita Quadros.

The celebrations concluded on a joyful and devotional note, leaving the children and staff with cherished memories of the festive occasion.
